Hi, I’m Stacey, and I’ve been working for Magenta since October 2012. I work on a part-time basis following a career break to have my son Thomas. I’ve since had another boy, Ethan, and on returning to work in December 2014, I’ve taken on the role of Personal Tax Manager, dealing with client’s tax returns, and one-off personal tax situations. I really enjoy personal tax, and this is the area in which I concentrated my earlier professional training.
Prior to working at Magenta, I worked as a personal tax advisor at Tenon and then at Deloitte Southampton, gaining a qualification as a Chartered Tax Advisor, and then worked as an Accountancy Assistant at the University of Southampton, where I continued my Accountancy examinations following on from my Accountancy degree. During my time at Magenta, I have now completed this qualification, and so am now also a Chartered Certified Accountant.
I love to read, watch films and go walking with my family. Our favourite places to do this are the seaside town of Mumbles in the Gower peninsular in Wales, and more recently with the Covid restrictions, Sandown, on the nearby Isle of Wight.
Both my boys are now at school, but when I’m not working, they keep me pretty busy with out of school activities and ever-increasing homework. I have recently joined the gym, so I’m looking forward to having a little bit of me-time to get fit.
